About the Condition

Multiple sclerosis is a chronic autoimmune disease in which the immune system attacks the protective myelin sheath surrounding nerve fibers in the brain and spinal cord. This disrupts nerve signal transmission and leads to symptoms ranging from fatigue and muscle weakness to vision changes, cognitive impairment, and paralysis.

Approximately 2.8 million people worldwide live with MS. The disease course varies — relapsing-remitting MS involves episodic flares and partial recovery, while progressive forms involve steady neurological decline. Standard immunomodulatory therapies can slow relapse frequency but have limited effect on accumulated disability.

Regen Cord's allogeneic MSC protocol specifically targets the neuroinflammatory environment that drives both active lesion formation and progressive neurodegeneration. Cells are administered intravenously and — in selected cases — intrathecally to maximize CNS exposure.

How MSC Therapy May Help

Mesenchymal stem cells exert multi-modal effects in MS. They home to sites of CNS inflammation, where they suppress pro-inflammatory T-cell activity, shift macrophage phenotype from M1 to M2 (anti-inflammatory), and downregulate the cytokine cascade that drives demyelination. This immune reprogramming has been observed to reduce lesion activity on serial MRI in published clinical trials.

MSCs also secrete neurotrophic factors — including BDNF, NGF, and VEGF — that support oligodendrocyte survival and promote remyelination of existing lesions. Animal models have demonstrated partial functional recovery alongside histological evidence of myelin repair.

Clinical series at leading centers have reported reduced relapse rates, stabilization of EDSS scores, and improvements in fatigue and cognitive function in patients who received MSC infusions. True Regen coordinates the full treatment protocol through Regen Cord, which manufactures and administers the cells in a fully supervised clinical environment.

Expected Outcomes
  • Reduction in relapse frequency
  • Stabilization or improvement of EDSS disability score
  • Reduced fatigue and improved cognitive clarity
  • Decreased MRI lesion activity in treated patients
  • Improved bladder, bowel, or motor function in select cases

Individual results vary. All patients undergo full medical evaluation prior to treatment.

Every infusion is manufactured under pharmaceutical-grade controls. You receive a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis before treatment.

High-Dose MSC Protocol

Wharton's jelly umbilical-cord MSCs — younger, more potent, and more consistent than cells from the patient's own body.
